Several years ago, I was approached by Bruce Falkins of Falkins Advertising Specialties supplier of Kelowna promotional products. Although not convinced of the value of “giveaway” products, I agreed to purchase some magnets and key chains, as well as a seemingly endless array of pens. I was pleasantly surprised from the reaction and gratitude that, my customers expressed.

After a couple of years, I decided to try, on my Bruce Falkins suggestion, a lanyard style keychain, with my company name and phone number. My phone number was to be prominent, in that it was easy to remember number. (707-0700)

It was suggested, that I put every customers keys on one of these lanyards. The results were amazing. The bright red lanyard, prominently displaying my phone number, was on every one of my customer’s key sets. Customers asked for a spare, for their kids keys, or the cabin keys, etc. etc.. I was so pleased we ordered a second colour of lanyard. The cost to have my company phone number, in every customer’s car was insignificant.

This program is far cheaper than newspaper advertising, and keeps my phone number , literally on hand, on a permanent basis. It is amazingly cost effective, and has actually reduced my monthly advertising budget.

We have since progressed to a greater variety of items, all prominently displaying 707-0700, included coffee mugs, golf tees and shoe bags, wall clocks, premium quality pens and knives plus many others.
